On Friday, September 1, 2023, from 6:00 p.m., the soccer tournament for hobby and company teams started on the TUS Eichholz Remmighausen sports grounds as part of the annual sports festival.
8 teams played in 2 groups for the tournament victory.
Get ready for the goals!
According to this motto, the VELOSIT team went onto the field highly motivated.
4 games were won and 2 were drawn.
Families, friends and colleagues were also invited and could not be missed as supporters on the sidelines. After the tournament, goals and the team were celebrated together.
Conclusion: Everyone had a lot of fun and the team spirit was strengthened again.
Since August 1st, 2023, Mr. Heinz Stiege has strengthened the sales team at Velosit. He is in charge of the new product area for everything to do with tile technology. For this task, Mr. Stiege brings with him more than 30 years of industry experience, which he was able to collect during his freelance work and in employment with well-known manufacturers of construction chemical products. The international company Velosit is extremely successful in the development and production of construction chemical products. The focus is on industrial and commercial floors.

From April 17 to 22, 2023, the BAU – World’s Leading Trade Fair for Architecture, Materials, Systems – took place in Munich again as a presence event after a 4-year break. With great pleasure we as Velosit GmbH & Co. KG could present our products and expertise to a wide audience at our booth. The highlight was the presentation of the many possible applications of our products in model scale, which quickly ensured lively discussions with interested visitors.
Our friendly booth became a daily meeting point for exchanging experiences, networking and professional discussions. December 2020
The ABS Steding company produces chemicals for wastewater treatment at the Wolfen Chemical Park. The floor of the chemical company was heavily worn in parts and urgently needed to be restored in accordance with WHG regulations.
After the old screed including coating had been removed, the 450 m2 area was milled and shot-peened. Subsequently, the old WHG coating structure had to be restored with a special primer and full-surface sanding with quartz sand under the guidance of the TÜV.
As final surface layer a protective screed based on earth moist VELOSIT SC 240 with an average layer thickness of 14 cm was laid.
The screed installed in a mixing ratio of 1:4 achieved excellent flexural and compressive strengths of class CT-C50-F8.
VELOSIT SC 240 was placed fresh in fresh onto the cementitious bonding bridge of VELOSIT CP 200.
The 130 tons were mixed and pumped in 2 days with a Mix Mobil Bremat F2.20 from Kotan Bau, Hanover.
2 days later, the surface was also coated with the silicate/silicone-based surface sealer VELOSIT FH 921. This step can significantly improve the cleanability of cement-based surfaces by closing the pores and hydroprobing them at the same time.
One day later, the hall of ABS Steding was completely available for use again.
Conclusion of Hans Jürgen Steding, managing director of ABS: “it was a speedy construction project, in compliance with the WHG regulations”.
Comments Off on Temporary ICU in Guatemala City built in Convention Center Hall
Guatemala is preparing for a higher demand in ICU beds due to the developing COVID-19 spread in the country. One of the convention center halls was prepared with a floor that allows easy sanitizing and temporary walls were set up in the building. Our distribution partner Aditeq has donated the floor which was installed in just 2 days.
President Alejandro Giammattei came to inspect the progress of the new “Hospital Temporal Parque de la Industria” which is now ready for patients.
There are at least two more temporary hospitals planned in Guatemala City based on the same concept.

VELOSIT SL 507 the highly abrasion-resistant floor levelling compound has been used successfully in many objects since the product launch in 2019.
A great object was recently executed in a company in Hille (Germany).
The concrete floor of a metal processing company was heavily damaged by years of heavy duty use and heat generated by welding and had to be renovated. The client wanted an abrasion-resistant floor that could withstand the extreme environmental conditions and also captivates with its beautiful appearance. The decision for the 460 m2 was made in favour of our highly abrasion-resistant self-leveling filler VELOSIT SL 507. Although VELOSIT SL 507is not suitable for sanding due to its extremely hard aggregates, it is possible to polish the surface and achieve a silk-matt appearance.
The floor was treated with our floor hardener VELOSIT FH 921 to minimize the absorbency.

“On your marks – get set go” – Among the approximately 1,310 participants, we started again as a team. Over the 5 km long running distance our times could be increased again compared to the last company run.
This Friday we were competing at a soccer tournament for company teams in Detmold. It turned out that our soccer skills still have some room for improvement and we couldn’t really celebrate a victory.
At least we scored once. But later on that night we became very competitive and finished with the highest bar tab…
Comments Off on Inauguration of the VELOSIT factory extension
4 years after our market start we ran completely out of space. Pallets were piling up in front of shelves and we started spending quite some time on pushing things back and forth. The new warehouse was constructed in less than 3 months and was inaugurated on May 24th with a party for business customers, suppliers, family and friends. We couldn’t have picked a better day and the warm temperatures boosted the beer consumption quite significantly. The ribbon was cut by the shareholders’ wives and the building handed over to service.
Our production is already working on 2 full shifts and we are still just keeping up with the order volume. It is another 6 weeks until we install the new packaging line that will more than double our production capacity. Later this year a robot palletizer and an automatic shrink wrap line will complete the investment of about 750 k€.
Thanks to our clients who have been patient with us! This August we should have the means again to supply as quick as you were used to…
On March 7th and 8th, 2019, we welcomed 37 interested seminar participants from 10 nations in our factory in Belle.
On both days exciting lectures and practical demonstrations took place on numerous products from the areas of floor leveling / screed systems, structural waterproofing and concrete repair.
For example, the participants were able to convince themselves of the smooth processing during the practical demonstration of the fast setting repair mortar VELOSIT RM 203 and took the trowel into their hands. Further highlights were the pumping process of our self leveling screed VELOSIT SC 244 as well as the spray application of the flexible waterproofing slurry VELOSIT WP 120.
Our guests went on Friday evening satisfied and full of new impressions on the journey home.

A completely deteriorated floor in a metal processing facility near Steinheim (Germany) was planned to receive a permanent restoration. Due to the abrasive stress caused by metal boxes, a highly wear-resistant floor covering must be installed.
On some 6,500 sq.ft. (600 sqm), the blasted floor was prepared with an epoxy primer with a full broadcast and then coated with 3/8 inch (8 – 10 mm) VELOSIT SL 507.
VELOSIT SL 507 can be put back in service quickly and reaches the abrasion class A3 acc. EN 13813. The warehouse was re-opened next day.

The BAU took place January 14-19 in Munich.
The increased participation of professionals from over 150 nations reinforces the BAU’s position as leading trade fair for architecture, construction materials and systems.
This year was the first time for VELOSIT to participate with its own booth on the exclusive trade show.
During six days VELOSIT informed about its competence fields
– Cementitious flooring
– Non-shrink grouts
– Leveling compounds
– Waterproofing and concrete protection
– Concrete and sewage repair systems
The product innovation VELOSIT SL 507 – the high abrasion resistant floor – was convincing by its extreme wear resistance. Regardless if used as leveling compound on screeds or slabs, as finished floor or for the repair of surface spalls on horizontal concrete areas – VELOSIT SL 507 supplies an easy to apply system with a wear resistance that exceeds the requirements from EN 13813 according to class A3.
The BAU allowed us finding loads of new contacts from Germany and abroad.
Questions were answered right at the booth from our construction experts. Besides that the BAU was a good opportunity to discuss with our existing clients about new developments.

semper velox (lat. always fast) – that was the motto for the VELOSIT team on the indoor cart race track in Werther. A 20 minute qualifying determined the starting positions for the subsequent race. The track with long straight sections and diverse curves gave an exciting mix of top-speed and G-force. In the end the whole VELOSIT team was winner of an amazing event. The excursion ended with a nice dinner in an Italian restaurant.
